The MENTOR Network Celebrates the Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

Signed into law on July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including employment, government services, public accommodations and transportation. Since then, the ADA has enabled many individuals to access the same services and opportunities as those without disabilities. It has enabled millions of Americans to pursue work opportunities, access needed services and enjoy being a part of community life, just like everyone else.

Today The MENTOR Network recognizes the anniversary of the ADA’s signing by celebrating the progress that has been made and recognizing the work still remaining to ensure that everyone, regardless of the challenges they face, has equal opportunities to work, learn and grow in the community they call home.
