The MENTOR Network Expands Brain Injury Services and Adds NeuroRestorative as a Partner
24 February 2010
We are pleased to announce that ABI service provider NeuroRestorative has joined The Network as our newest partner. NeuroRestorative provides services and supports to children, adolescents and adults with acquired brain injuries in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
Founded in 1984, NeuroRestorative provides specialized treatment and supported transitional living services to children and adults recovering from functional disabilities and neurobehavioral disorders resulting from a traumatic brain injury (TBI), brain tumor, stroke or other acquired brain injuries. Programs are tailored to an individual’s needs, with support ranging from comprehensive assessment, intensive inpatient rehabilitation and transitional community re-entry services to long-term supported living services. By tailoring support based on an individual’s need, NeuroRestorative’s programs serve individuals at all phases of recovery following a brain injury.
NeuroRestorative’s first facility, Timber Ridge Ranch, has provided services to individuals in Arkansas since 1984. In 2004, NeuroRestorative Specialty Services at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler, Texas opened; Hammond Place, a supported living program in Hammond, Louisiana, opened in 2003; and in 2007, NeuroRestorative launched Oklahoma NeuroSpecialty in Tulsa. Combined, the four NeuroRestorative locations serve 120 individuals.
“We are excited to welcome the clients and staff of NeuroRestorative’s four programs to The MENTOR Network,” said Bill Duffy, Chief Operating Officer of MENTOR ABI, The Network’s brain injury services operating group. “I am confident that this partnership will serve to broaden and strengthen the services currently offered by The Network and MENTOR ABI.”
The Network’s ABI programs are personally tailored to help individuals live as independently as possible and fulfill their personal life goals in the community. The addition of NeuroRestorative expands The Network’s brain injury services presence into four new states.
“NeuroRestorative has a tremendous reputation in the communities in which it provides services,” said Julie Fay, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at The Network. “The joining of NeuroRestorative and MENTOR ABI has tremendous potential to expand high quality services to individuals with acquired brain injuries, and we are proud to welcome them to The Network.”
