Viviane Ngwa, a Network employee and leader in the human services field has recently been selected by the Foster Family-Based Treatment Association as the new President of the Board of Directors.  With more than fifteen years of experience, Viviane is a recognized leader in human services and has been an advocate for youth in foster care throughout her career.

“It is an honor to lead such a wonderful organization that serves as a voice for foster care agencies across the country,” said Viviane.  “I am excited about the new challenges and opportunities this position brings and eager to continue my work with an organization that provides vital guidance, advocacy and support to strengthen the foster care system.”

Prior to becoming President of the Board, Viviane also served as President of FFTA’s Executive Committee and worked closely with colleagues from around the country to develop a strategic plan for FFTA.  The strategic plan, which Viviane will be responsible for implementing during her term, is designed to enhance visibility for the organization and position FFTA as a key legislative liaison for foster care agencies – helping them understand what is happening in Congress and what it means for member agencies on the local level.

“Providing strategic legislative leadership is critical to our agencies this year,” adds Viviane.  “Working hand-in-hand with the other board members, I’ll be striving to ensure that we stay closely connected to every agency – keeping them informed and delivering on our legislative outreach goals.”

“Over the past few years, as an Executive Director overseeing our operations in Illinois and the Children’s Programs in Indiana and Ohio, Viviane has been instrumental in growing our programs and positioning The Network as a provider of choice,” says Robert Longo, President of The Network’s Cambridge Operating Group.  “I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work with a true leader in our industry and look forward to supporting her in her new role as President of the Board for FFTA.”

“I am thrilled to be in a position to represent The Network on a national level and help all FFTA members work towards our common goals of delivering positive outcomes and permanency for children,” adds Viviane.
