Brett Cohen Chief Operating Officer
As chief operating officer, Brett oversees the company’s services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and youth at risk within its human services segment. Prior to joining The MENTOR Network in November 2015, Brett worked in the healthcare industry for more than two decades—at both large established businesses and entrepreneurial ventures—driving a culture focused on patient care while implementing operating improvements and process changes, including electronic medical records technology, that led to higher quality and more efficient services.
Most recently, as corporate vice president at Fresenius Medical Care, Brett led the turnaround of one of the organization’s struggling divisions. Prior to that, he served as vice president of operations for Kindred Healthcare, where he had responsibility for the skilled-nursing and assisted-living facilities in the company’s East Region. His experience also includes leadership positions at Enhanced Care Initiatives and UnitedHealth Group. Brett holds a M.B.A from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Yale University.
