Rita Pathmanaban Vice President, Clinical Programs and Quality Improvement, CareMeridian
With more than 40 years of health care experience, Rita guides the strategic direction, management and performance improvements of all clinical programs at CareMeridian in her role as vice president of clinical programs and quality improvement.
Prior to joining CareMeridian in 1993 as administrator/director of nursing, Rita was the assistant director of nurses for Western Neuro Care Center, a facility for the catastrophically ill or injured. She has also held the position of charge nurse on the medical/surgical unit at Santa Ana Medical Center and, prior to coming to the U.S., managed medical and geriatric rehabilitation units in Hertfordshire, UK. Rita is a former vice president of the Rehabilitation Nurses Society and currently sits on its board of directors, serving in a broad spectrum of roles. A board certified registered rehabilitation nurse, Rita is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and the Case Management Society of America. Rita graduated from West Herts Group School of Nursing in Hertfordshire, England and received her post graduate certification in intensive care nursing at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, England.
